Britt Hunt

Founder and CEO

Britt Hunt is a member of a Nashville, Tennessee family of successful entrepreneurs whose legacy began in the restaurant business. His mother’s family opened Nashville landmark Jimmy Kelly’s Steakhouse in the midst of the Great Depression and prohibition era, his grandfather owned a drive-in restaurant, and his father and uncles founded Hunt Brothers® Pizza. Surrounded by so much entrepreneurial spirit, Britt always knew he would start his own business.

“My dad had the biggest influence on me,” says Britt. “I always felt like anything was possible around him. He taught me that if you truly believe in something and work hard to achieve it, you will be successful.”

“It’s so important to have values and principles that anchor you and keep you grounded,” says Britt. “Things can get hazy in business; but if God, family, health and work are all going along perfectly at the same time – that’s success to me.”

With unfaltering commitment, Britt continues to build and grow the Lumina Foods business ecosystem around those priorities.

Britt frequently speaks to groups on the topics of entrepreneurial spirit, leadership, performance management and finding the right talent. He is a devoted father to five wonderful children, and is deeply committed to philanthropy in his own community. Causes close to his heart include Fifty Forward and Second Harvest Food Bank.

Mandy McPherson

Chief Strategy and People Officer

As the Chief Strategy and People Officer for Lumina Foods, Mandy oversees Human Resources and provides strategic insight for all the businesses within the Lumina Foods family of companies.

Once a law school candidate, Mandy fell in love with the human resources field during a summer internship. After graduation, she began building a career in the field and by the time she joined the Lumina Foods family, she was well prepared for her role as a developer and coach of leaders, managers and employees. It’s a position she never takes for granted.

“I’ve learned to never minimize the impact that you can have on people as a leader,” she says. “It has been demonstrated to me over and over again: time spent coaching, mentoring or developing others can have a major influence on that individual down the road.” As a Certified Career Development Coach, she sees that influence every day at Lumina Foods.

Outside of her professional role, Mandy is a devoted wife, daughter and aunt of two— a job she also takes very seriously. She not only shares our focus on being a blessing to our partners in her professional life, but also holds mission-driven causes close to her heart in her personal life, as well. Mandy supports many causes, including prison ministry, foster care respite and mission trips.
